What is FUSE?

Overview

Fuse is a degree-completion transfer program between the ÐÜèAVÃâ·Ñ and nine Florida State Colleges. Through this partnership, students receive seamless academic pathways designed to help them complete their associate and bachelor’s degrees, guarantee admission into specific majors at USF, and support timely progress toward graduation.

Participating Institutions:

  • College of Central Florida
  • Florida SouthWestern State College
  • Hillsborough College
  • Pasco Hernando State College
  • Polk State College
  • St. Petersburg College
  • Santa Fe College
  • South Florida State College
  • State College of Florida

Students who enter the Fuse program will be expected to:

  • Have intention of transferring to USF  
  • Complete an Associates of Arts degree within 3 years and maintain a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA. By meeting these requirements, students will be guaranteed admission to USF 
  • Students seeking admission to limited or restrictive access programs will also have to meet additional specific prerequisites such as a higher GPA or test scores. These can be found in strategically designed Graduation Paths. 
  • Meet regularly with advising at the State or Community College and a USF campus

Important note to current high school students: The Fuse Transfer Program does not apply to dually enrolled high school students, as eligible students for the Fuse program must have fewer than 30 college credits and must have graduated from high school. Interested in Joining Fuse?

Students attending a participating Fuse institution may be eligible to join the Fuse program. If you are interested in Fuse, complete the Fuse Enrollment Interest Survey to provide your information to the Office of Transfer Student Success and your state college for eligibility review. To be eligible for Fuse, students must have fewer than 30 completed college-level credits at the time the survey is submitted and must have graduated from high school.

Students attending Hillsborough College, St. Petersburg College, or Pasco-Hernando State College should not complete this survey. Fuse is incorporated into the enrollment process at these institutions. Please work directly with your college to learn more about joining Fuse or contact us at transfer-advising@usf.edu.
