Ella Bouville

Ella Bouville

Email: ellabouville@usf.edu
Degree: M.A. in Global Sustainability
Concentration: Climate Mitigation and Adaptation
Bio:

I am pleased to serve as a PCGS Ambassador because I value building meaningful connections across cultural and professional backgrounds. Having grown up on three continents and attended an international school, I developed a deep curiosity about people, culture, and the ways these shape our perspectives, behaviors, and relationships with the environment. These experiences also fostered my connection to nature and my interest in how relationships among self, culture, and place inform environmental knowledge. I am currently in my third semester of the PCGS master’s program, with a concentration in Climate Adaptation and Mitigation while pursuing a certificate in Sustainability Policy. I previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Eckerd College, with minors in Anthropology, Environmental Studies, and Art. My academic and professional interests center on sustainability, environmental communication, and the cultural dimensions of people’s relationships with the natural world. As an ambassador, I hope to help strengthen the sense of community within PCGS and highlight the many opportunities the program offers beyond academics. I am excited to serve as a resource and bridge for current and future students, encourage collaboration, and create more opportunities for students to connect through networking, events, and shared experiences. I look forward to actively participate in supporting an inclusive, engaged, and connected PCGS community.

Gabriella Davis

Gabriella Davis

Email: davisg29@usf.edu
Degree: M.S. in Sustainability Management
Bio:

Hello, I’m Gabriella (but you can call me Gigi)! I’m an M.S. student in Sustainability Management, with certificates in Climate Mitigation & Adaptation, Environmental Policy & Management, and Public Health. I also hold a B.S. in Environmental Science & Policy and a B.A. in English from USF. My research interests center on the intersection of sustainability, climate change, and public health, particularly how environmental challenges, from pollution to increasingly severe natural disasters, affect human health, well-being, and communities. I hope to explore how interdisciplinary approaches can help us better understand these connections and develop resilient solutions that center the people and communities most affected. At USF, I serve as an Academic Mentor with USF Athletics, supporting student-athletes in reaching their academic goals, and as Secretary of the Graduate and Professional Student Council, helping foster a welcoming, supportive, and connected community for graduate and doctoral students. My professional experience has allowed me to explore sustainability across a range of settings. I previously worked as a research intern with the USF Center for Brownfields Research & Redevelopment, and I served as Sustainability Intern for the 2025 season with INDYCAR and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Outside of my academic and professional work, I’m a poet and writer. My poetry has appeared in several literary journals, including USF’s Thread Magazine, and in two independently published chapbooks. I’m also passionate about film, particularly horror and science fiction, and how these genres reflect and shape the cultural zeitgeist, influence perceptions of environmental and societal issues, and help us imagine possible futures. Ultimately, I hope to bring together sustainability, public health, and creative storytelling to better understand the challenges facing our communities and contribute to more resilient, healthy, and sustainable futures.
